You a Blackhawk? Check out the OAHS Alumni Website.
OAHS IN NORTHCAKBeing a military brat, I spent most of my high school years in Europe. My dad was stationed in Bremerhaven, Germany, all the way on the northern coast of Germany. Ahhh, the memories.
The school, Osterholz American High School, no longer is open. In the firt half of the 90s, many of us were sent back to "The States." It's one thing to leave your high school friends behind, but it's another thing when you can't go back home and have a chance to see any one of them, because there is no more home. Well, we just had to get creative. While living in Greensboro, North Carolina, two of my fellow Blackhawks came to visit. One was my good friend Yasmin Benton, who didn't stay that far from me. Back in Btown, she was known for her vocals. When she speaks, it's like she's singing. I would put her number on the site so you can hear what I'm talking about, but I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate that. My other good friend who visited was Melkys Quinones. I would go into the crush I had on her, but she's a married woman, and I guess I should let it go. Anyway, this is a photo we took together on E. Market Street when they visited me. By the way, the shirt I'm wearing in the photo was a product of a friend of mine, Reggie, and his boys who started a line of t-shirts representing NorthCak.
