Join us for the opening weekend of Inventing Utamaro for free family activities! In this Open Studio, witness firsthand the beauty and complexity of Japanese woodblock prints. Take a family-friendly tour (12:30 and 2:30 pm) of the exhibition, and then explore traditional tools and papers. A teaching artist demonstrates transferring designs to a block, carving, and basic printing techniques. Come prepared to get your hands inky. All ages welcome with adult companions.
