Around The World Cultural Food Festival

We were back on the National Mall for another festival, this time celebrating the wide variety of ways to preparing food. It was the Around The World Cultural Food Festival, and there were more than dozens of different cultures showcasing their cuisine as well as dance, music and other forms of entertainment.

I wasn’t as adventurous as the lady. I settled for the safe foods of Thailand, one of my favorites.

Najwa seemed to get in touch with some of her roots. Being a quarter Korean, she chose something from the Korean vendor, only, it wasn’t really the authentic stuff such as kim chi, bul gogi or anything you’d have for dinner.

Nduku, though, went all in with Yemini food. I’m assuming it was good since she finished it.

There were several performances also going on by different countries. We watched a few. Najwa mimicked some of the dances. It was cool, and then during an intermission, Najwa’s song came on.
