Kennedy Street NW Street Festival and National Conservatory of Arts

Nduku found a summer camp for Najwa, something different, at the National Conservatory of Arts on Kennedy Street NW. They were having an open house during the Kennedy Street NW Street Festival, so how could we not stop by?



Before we visited the National Conservatory of Arts or participated in the street festival, Nduku grabbed a drink at Culture Coffee. While waiting, Najwa kept doing shushing me. I couldn’t figure it out at first, but then…






There’s this big painting at the National Conservatory of Arts of a man reading The Destruction of Black Civilization. I own that book, too.


I wonder if this is the same person we saw at Truck Touch a few weeks ago?



The best part, though, was a performance of Michael Jackson hits.
