Memphis Belle, Thunderbirds at Joint Base Andrews for Najwa’s First Air Show

One day, perhaps, Najwa will become a pilot.  First, of course, she has to see what they do and their choice of vehicles.  Where better than the Andrews AFB Air Show?

While we wait for the main event, we walked around and checked out the planes, helicopters and everything else on display.

Memphis Belle is the nickname of a Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress that was used during the Second World War. It was one of the first United States Army Air Forces B-17 heavy bombers to complete 25 combat missions with her crew intact.
