Najwa’s First Road Trip: City of Brotherly Love

Nduku and I both have traveled before our paths met in Washington, DC. And we both want Najwa to have that same opportunity to travel as well. So, we spontaneously took a trip for Valentine’s Day to Philadelphia so she can visit the City of Brotherly Love. If only knew how cold it would be!

It was definitely colder than what we were expecting. Assuming we even thought about how the weather would be. And a lot windier than we were used to, especially with a newborn in tow.

So, we sought shelter and landed at Mammamia Pizzeria on Spruce Street.

But, it was Philadelphia, so no point in hiding indoors the whole trip. We eventually braved the cold and wind, just strolling through the city.  Of course, seeing a wedding party out at the Love Sign, some with sleeveless gowns on , made us not feel so cold.  Me anyway.

Later, we crossed the state line to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and caught up with our good friend Natalie!
